Courtney Brogard is vice president of inspection sales for APi Group.
Courtney grew up in the fire and life safety industry – literally. Her family owned a fire-protection company, where a young Courtney could sometimes be found sleeping on the office floor. She turned that early exposure into a life-long passion and nearly 25-year career in safety services.
Starting at the ground level in 1997 with Grinnell Fire Protection, which later became SimplexGrinnell, Courtney learned every aspect of the business. She pivoted into a sales position in 2005. A move to Western States Fire Protection, which already was a subsidiary of APi Group, followed in 2012. While at Western States, Courtney served as the Corporate Inspection Sales Leader (CISL). Her success led to an opportunity to share Western’s CISL approach with the presidents of APi Group’s Fire & Life Safety companies.
Courtney joined APi Group in 2020 to build an inspection sales culture within APi Group’s operating companies. In her newly created position, Courtney was responsible for developing a CISL program across APi Group. Two years later, every APi Group operating company in the United States now has a CISL and inspection sales program; the approach drives deeper relationships with customers while also creating a recurring revenue stream for operating companies.
A genuine people person, Courtney loves coaching and mentoring colleagues and aspiring students. Courtney serves as Board Vice-Chair for ACE Mentor, California Capital affiliate, which introduces high school students to careers in architecture, construction, and engineering.
Courtney and her husband, who's also in the fire-protection business, live in Sacramento, where they raised a son and three daughters. In her free time, Courtney enjoys traveling and sports.
