Janet Riese is an accomplished healthcare professional currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of GIR Consulting since March 2020. With a strong background in infection prevention, Janet has held the position of Infection Preventionist at Mary Lanning Hospital from December 2008 to December 2023, where responsibilities included managing Infection Prevention and Employee Health. Janet also has extensive experience with Good Samaritan Hospital, having worked as an Infection Prevention Practitioner from 2003 to 2008. Active in the APIC organization since 2003, Janet has held various leadership roles within the Greater Omaha Chapter and serves as faculty for national EPI and ASC Intensive courses. Janet holds a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Infection Control from American Sentinel College and a Bachelor’s degree in Registered Nursing from Creighton University.
