Customer Success Manager at Apicbase

Guillermo Ledesma has been working in various roles since 2017. In 2017, they were an Intern Student at Fundación Biofísica Bizkaia / Biofisika Bizkaia Fundazioa (UPV/EHU, CSIC), under the tutelage of Dr. Xabier Contreras. Guillermo also completed a BSc Thesis under the supervision of Dr. Vladimir Kaberdin at the Departamento de Inmunología, Microbiología y Parasitología, UPV/EHU. During the same year, they worked as a Private Teacher providing private lessons of different topics of Chemical Engineering related to the Biotechnology BSc at the UPV/EHU. In 2020, they completed an MSc Thesis under the supervision of Dr. Jerry van Dijk at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University. Currently, they are a PhD Student at the University of Antwerp, working on the BAM! project, with the EU FET-Horizon2020 grant for high-risk/high-benefit projects. Their research focuses on the conceptual design of a three-phase (Gas-Solid-Liquid) hybrid bioreactor with the presence of micro- and macrobiological agents, for carbon capture via Silicate Weathering. Guillermo is also a Customer Success Manager at Apicbase.

Guillermo Ledesma completed their primary and secondary education at Lycée Français de Bilbao from 2000 to 2015. Guillermo then went on to obtain a BSc in Biotechnology from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea between 2015 and 2019. During this time, they also obtained a Baccalaureat Scientifique (Specialité SVT) with a score of 16.94/20 and a Mention 'Très Bien' from the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse in October 2015, a Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), C1 level from Cambridge Assessment English in January 2015, and a Diplôme approfondi de langue française (DALF) C1 from the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse in November 2014. In 2019, they began pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Development at Utrecht University, and also obtained an IELTS certificate, C1 level from Cambridge Assessment English in March 2019.
