Athanasios Dermanis

Athanasios Dermanis is a Professor Emeritus at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where they have been engaged in research and teaching since 1980. They contributed significantly to the formation of the Department of Geodesy and Surveying, establishing its international reputation in the field. Additionally, Dermanis served as a visiting professor at various institutions, including the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and Politecnico di Milano, specializing in GNSS seismology and remote sensing. They obtained a Ph.D. in Geodetic Sciences from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 1972 to 1976.
