Ingo Weber

20+ years experience as operator and investor in insurance / financial services and technology. Co-founder and multiple C-suite roles in VC / PE backed insurtech and fintech businesses including successful exits. Pioneer in impact investing, 15+ years investing in emerging markets. Ingo is responsible for portfolio management and value creation across Apis’ insurtech portfolio companies.

Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Ingo was leading M&A at Swiss and GE Capital / GE Insurance, and a VC at Softbank. He was also part of the team that launched LeapFrog and an IC member of the EM focused growth impact investor. Ingo served as the European liaison for the GIIN (Global Impact Investment Network), building the network of leading European impact investors. He was also a National Advisory Board member of the G7 Social Investment Taskforce. Ingo held multiple board roles e.g. 12 years as NED and supervisory board of a licensed insurer in Germany, and as advisor to leading PE funds e.g. Warburg Pincus, and family offices.

Ingo is author of the first Insurtech book in German language.
