Alex Rifman has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. In 2000, they worked as a Sr. Security Engineer at Motorola, Inc., where they conducted security and risk assessments for various networks. From 2008 to 2016, at AT&T, Alex held the roles of Senior Technical Director and Principal Member of Technical Staff, focusing on data analytics, incident response, and security operations. Alex also worked directly with customers to enable SIEM monitoring services. At Anomali, starting in 2016, Alex worked as a Customer Success Account Manager and later as a Regional Director, managing a Customer Success team and developing an employee retention plan. From 2021 to 2023, they held the position of Head of Customer Success at apisec.ai, developing a comprehensive Customer Success program. Alex also served as the Director of Customer Success - Strategic Accounts at Securonix, where they managed a team responsible for customer retention and introduced industry best practices. In 2022, they founded Nacho Security. Presently, Alex is working at APIsec as part of the Sales and Customer Success team, as well as at APIsec University as an API Security Champion.
Alex Rifman completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including API Security Fundamentals - Certificate of Completion from APIsec University in April 2023, Devo Certified Platform User from Devo in February 2021, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in June 2003.
