Dave Piskai

Dave Piskai has a wealth of experience in the engineering and sales fields. Dave began their career in 2015 as a QA Engineer at POPSUGAR, where they were heavily involved in automation for deployments, CI, server provisioning, and QA processes. Dave also dockerized developer apps to run on AWS ECS/EB, designed CI and testing stacks for new developer teams, and was the only non-developer in rotation for fixing high-priority bugs in codebase. In 2017, Dave became a Consultant - DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer at Taos, where they completed an intensive DevOps immersion training program and attained two AWS certifications. Dave then moved on to Google as a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering Consultant, where they supported top-tier Google Cloud Platform customers on high priority issues. In 2018, Dave joined SignalFx as an Inside Sales Engineer, where they achieved >350% Quota Attainment and was awarded four awards for their performance. In 2019, Dave joined Splunk as a Staff Sales Engineer and later became a Senior Sales Engineer, executing complex sales cycles in the largest enterprises with vast scopes of use cases. Finally, in 2022, Dave became a Sales Engineering Lead at APIsec.

Dave Piskai completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University between 2010 and 2014. Prior to that, they attended B. Reed Henderson High School from 2006 to 2010. Dave also holds certifications as a Jenkins Engineer from the Jenkins project, obtained in June of 2016, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services, obtained in September of 2019. Dave is also certified as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services.
