David Biesack

Chief API Officer at Apiture

David Biesack is the current Chief API Officer at Apiture. David was previously with SAS from May 1989 to September 2017, where they served as Principal API Architect. In that role, they were responsible for architecture, governance, and strategy of SAS' REST API initiative. This included REST API design and architecture, implementation, integration and interoperability standards. David was also a founding member of the SAS Technology Office in SAS Research and Development, and the head of SAS API Center of Excellence for 5 1/2 years. Prior to joining SAS, they were with Data General from June 1988 to May 1989 as a software developer, working on development of workstation software and developer tooling. Before that, they were part of GE's Software Technology Program from June 1985 to June 1988, a three year software engineering training and research program at GE Corporate R&D (now GE Global Research).

David Biesack's educational career includes a BS in Computer Science from Purdue University and an MS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. David also has a certification from Coursera in Functional Programming Principles in Scala.

David Biesack reports to Chris Babcock, CEO. They are on a team with Shannon Tully - Human Resources, Brandon Koch - Director, Procurement & Facilities, and Wren Lanier - VP, User Experience.
