Tyler MacCready

Tyler MacCready has extensive experience in the robotics and technology industries. Tyler began their career in 1998 as a Senior Technology Consultant at AeroVironment. In 2011, they founded Ocean Lab and in 2015 they founded APIUM Swarm Robotics, where they currently serve as the Founder and CEO. Tyler is dedicated to inventing and deploying new approaches to systems coordination and management, aiming to accelerate the coming age of autonomy in personal mobility, the movement of goods, and the flow of particles.

Tyler MacCready received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geology and Geophysics from Monash University between 1994 and 1998. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Geology from the University of Wyoming between 1990 and 1993. Tyler also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Yale University between 1981 and 1984.
