A+E Lab is a non-profit digital and cultural hub located in Historic Dockyard Chatham, led by AΦE, an XR dance company working with new technologies and associate artist of the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries/University of Kent (iCCi).

A+E Lab deliver three key strands of activity:
- Creation and touring of AΦE ’s innovative productions
- Deliver technology & cultural community and artist engagement programmes
- Presentation and curation of high-quality work 

A+E Lab envisions to be:
- A space to develop unique artistic experiences using art and/or new technologies 
- A hub for the local community, including those least engaged in the arts, to take part in projects centred around learning new art and digital skills
- A platform where artists, researchers and experts in arts and tech meet and develop new ideas 
- A home to AΦE, to create its innovative productions

A+E Lab’s mission is to democratise access to culture and digital tools and skills and provide networking opportunities and access to space and equipment to creative practitioners. We aim to grow Medway as a vibrant cultural hub with national and international networks connecting to local projects. A+E Lab activity has engaged over 51000 live audiences and participants locally.
