Mark Appel is an experienced leader in the fields of civil engineering and project management with a strong background in infrastructure and real estate development. Currently serving as Head of Asset Delivery at APM Terminals since October 2022, Mark focuses on technical design and construction for various infrastructure projects. Previously, Mark held multiple roles at Damen Shipyards Group, including Manager Damen Civil, overseeing the development and construction of shipyards for diverse clients. With earlier positions at Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors, GAPmanagement, and various other firms, Mark has built extensive expertise in project management. Mark holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a Master’s in Real Estate with a specialization in Project Development from the Amsterdam School of Real Estate.
