Jeremy Smith

Jeremy Smith is a respected leader in Australia’s arts and creative industries, with over 25 years of experience across community engagement, arts funding, and social advocacy. A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 1997, Jeremy began a career that included roles as a stage manager and producer, eventually moving into senior leadership positions at notable organizations like Performing Lines, PICA, and DADAA Inc. Currently serving as the Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at APM, Jeremy remains a fierce advocate for intersectionality and social change, recently contributing to the publication of a reflective essay on identity in "The Relationship is the Project." Jeremy also actively participates on the board of PICA and chairs pvi collective, highlighting a commitment to enhancing arts accessibility and equity for marginalized communities.
