Engineering Director & Mechanical Engineer at Apogee Instruments

Ryan Lindsley has held various engineering roles since 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Property Assistant at Space Dynamics Laboratory. From 2011 to 2012, they were an Engineering Intern at Flowserve. Ryan then joined Apogee Instruments, Inc. in 2012, where they have held multiple roles, including Lead Mechanical Engineer and Engineering Director/Mechanical Engineer. As Lead Mechanical Engineer, they were responsible for helping define design goals and set completion dates for new projects, and served as project manager on all mechanical engineering projects. As Mechanical Engineer, they were responsible for creating overall product design, balancing mechanical design with DFMA, PCB design/layout, functional requirements, marketing input, and cost. Ryan used Solidworks for CAD modeling, technical drawings, and thermal/physical simulation for design verification, and interfaced with vendors, suppliers, clients, and customers.

Ryan Lindsley obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business from Utah State University in 2012. In December 2021, they were certified as a Certified Solidworks Expert (CSWE) by Dassault Systèmes.
