Jasper Ballantyne

Jasper Ballantyne has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Jasper worked as a Product Manager at Apolitical starting from March 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Engineer at ANZ from September 2021 to September 2022, where they led product teams in building a new mobile bank and technical organization. Jasper successfully developed a signup flow that enabled over 200,000 customers to onboard in as little as 2 minutes.

Before ANZ, Jasper worked as a Product Manager and Android Engineer at Celo from June 2020 to September 2021. At Celo, they contributed to the rapid growth of a global healthcare communication startup by increasing user engagement by 19%. Jasper achieved this by developing relationships with customers, identifying and prioritizing opportunities, and driving product vision and strategies.

Prior to Celo, Jasper worked as a Software Engineer at ASB Bank. Starting from November 2019 to June 2020, they developed the banking application for Android, transitioning from Java MVP to Kotlin MVVM. Jasper also led the implementation of accessibility features for vision, audio, and mobility-impaired users.

Jasper's previous experience includes roles at ASB Bank as a Software Engineer and Co-Founder & Product Manager (Internal Startup Incubator) from 2017 to 2018. Jasper also worked as a Graduate Engineer at ASB Bank from February 2017 to March 2018.

Jasper's earlier work experience includes a role as the Head Men's Rowing Coach at West End Rowing Club from October 2016 to March 2018.

Jasper Ballantyne has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from Massey University. Prior to that, they attended Westlake Boys High School. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in First Aid Level 1 & 2 from Surf Life Saving New Zealand in May 2021.
