Tim Hingston

Tim Hingston has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Tim started their career as a Software Engineer at LegatoVideo, where they co-architected and implemented a custom multimedia framework for a video messaging application.

Tim later joined Clique Communications as a Lead Software Engineer and eventually became the Manager of the Solutions Group. In these roles, they led the development of a standards-based video telephony application and managed a team of 8. Tim also led the creation of prototype multimedia applications utilizing various technologies.

After their time at Clique Communications, Tim worked at MobiTV as a Lead Software Engineer, where they architected and led the development of a next-generation video management platform using Java EE technologies.

Tim then joined Discovery Communications as a Consultant, where they led the development of a science-based news application for mobile devices.

Tim also worked at Fullstack Digital as a Technology Consultant, where they acted as a senior architect, engineer, and consultant for various iOS, Android, and web app projects. Tim was responsible for coding backend web services and frontend development.

At Percolate Studio, Tim worked as a Senior Software Engineer, building Meteor applications for clients before the company was acquired by Meteor Development Group / Apollo GraphQL.

Currently, Tim is working at Apollo GraphQL, where they have held several roles. Tim started as a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead, contributing to the development of Apollo Studio. Tim then became a Principal Software Engineer and Product Owner, responsible for full-stack systems architecture and product development. Currently, they are a Product Manager at Apollo GraphQL, focusing on building data-driven insights and driving the delivery of new experiences.
