Daniel Ang

Daniel Ang is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private and public credit investments, capital solutions, and mergers and acquisitions within the financial services sector. Currently working at Apollo Global Management, Inc. as part of the Emerging Markets Financials team, Daniel focuses on diverse credit investments and strategic initiatives in Asian insurance. Prior roles include responsibilities at Munich Re, leading Private Equity coverage, and serving as Head of DCM Insurance & Capital Solutions at Mizuho International, where foundational work was done to develop a robust debt capital markets platform. Daniel's background also includes senior leadership positions at Standard Chartered Bank and ING, as well as investment roles at AnaCap Financial Partners, Nomura, Lehman Brothers, and Barclays Capital. Academically, Daniel holds a PhD and MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s degree from The University of British Columbia.
