Deepa Rao

Deepa Rao is a senior strategic technical leader with over 19 years of experience in managing complex customer-facing projects and guiding executive customer stakeholders to derive optimal value. They held various roles at D E Shaw India, ultimately serving as Project Manager, where they co-headed the Middle Office Technology Department and managed proprietary applications critical to Portfolio Management. Deepa later worked at The D. E. Shaw Group as a Project Manager, leading a team of software developers while contributing to firmwide business initiatives. Currently, Deepa serves as Principal and COO of Investment Engineering at Apollo Global Management, where they continue to leverage their extensive expertise in technology and project management. They earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
