James Kenney is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in credit research and portfolio management, particularly in high yield and investment grade bonds. Currently serving as Managing Director at Apollo Global Management Inc. since January 2019, Kenney co-manages over $60 billion of investment grade bonds and oversees the IG Credit research team. Prior to this role, Kenney held significant positions at Athene Asset Management as Senior Vice President, Aviva Investors as Senior Credit Research Analyst, and various analyst roles at Pacific Madrone Asset Management, MTJ Capital Management, and Merrill Lynch, where Kenney focused on distressed debt and retail companies. Kenney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
