Josef Johnson

Josef Johnson is an Associate in Sponsor Origination at Apollo Global Management, Inc. since April 2025, following an extensive career at Deutsche Bank from July 2018 to April 2025 as an Investment Banking Vice President and earlier roles including Associate and Analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group. Josef's experience also includes a summer analyst position at Deutsche Bank in 2017 and an investment analyst role at Partners HealthCare in 2016. A Harvard University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Josef served as a Consent Advocate and Relationship Educator during university, promoting healthier relationships and addressing campus rape culture. In addition, Josef was a two-time captain of the Harvard wrestling team, earning recognition as a three-time NCAA Championships qualifier and three-time NCAA Academic All-American, while leading the team to the highest GPA in Division I for three consecutive years.
