Leslie Mapondera

Mr. Mapondera is a Partner in Credit. He joined Apollo in 2019 based in London. Prior to joining Apollo, he was Head of Financial Institutions Portfolio at Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) (2010 – 2019) and also served as Head of Investment Execution and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions. Before joining QIA, he worked in credit research and trading at Citigroup (2008 – 2010) and Credit Suisse (2001 – 2007). A Rhodes Scholar and Sloan Fellow, he graduated from London Business School, MA in Management; University of Oxford, BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics; London School of Economics, MSc Economic History; and University of Reading, BSc (Hons) Agricultural Economics. He also attended Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
