Michael L. is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in structured finance and risk management. Currently serving as Principal in the Structured Finance Group at Apollo Global Management Inc. since June 2011, Michael played a pivotal role in launching an inaugural trading desk that successfully generated $11 billion in new business lines and optimized multi-credit insurance asset portfolios. Prior experience includes a Vice President role at Credit Suisse, where Michael was instrumental in establishing a longevity desk and innovating products that earned $400 million in revenue. Michael's earlier career involved operational and portfolio risk support at leading financial institutions, including WestLB and Barclays Investment Bank, and foundational experience as a Senior Staff Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. Michael holds both an MBA and a BS in Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business.
