Robert Payne is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in asset management and insurance solutions. Currently serving as Managing Director at Apollo Global Management, Inc. since July 2025, Robert previously held the position of Senior Director at Athora from October 2019 to August 2025. Prior to this, Robert was Senior Vice President at Neuberger Berman, focused on EMEA Insurance Solutions, and served as Director at UBS. Earlier experience includes working as an Associate in the Structured Solutions Group at Nomura and an internship at Lehman Brothers. Robert holds a Master of Science in Development Economics and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Economics and Management, both earned from the University of Oxford.
