Steve Lessar

Steve Lessar is a finance professional with extensive experience in private equity secondaries and liquidity solutions. Currently a Partner at Apollo Global Management, Inc., since July 2022, Steve previously held the position of Managing Director at BlackRock, where Steve co-headed Private Equity Secondaries from July 2018 to April 2022. Prior to that, Steve served as Managing Director at Goldman Sachs from 2009 to 2018, also co-heading Private Equity Secondaries and Vintage Funds. Steve’s career began at Lehman Brothers as a Principal in Merchant Banking and included roles as Associate and Vice President at Goldman Sachs from 2002 to 2006. Steve holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
