Sean McDermott

Sean McDermott is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in enterprise software and IT strategy. As the Founder and President & CEO of Windward Consulting since 1997, Sean focuses on enabling CIOs to leverage IT as a competitive differentiator. Additionally, Sean serves as Chairman of the Board and Founder of The Windward Foundation, dedicated to supporting Alzheimer’s caregivers. In the investment sector, Sean is the Managing Director and Founder of Helix Ventures and Co-Founder of SYROTA and App47, where efforts are concentrated on enhancing enterprise app deployment. Previous leadership roles include Vice President at BMC Software, Founder and CEO of RealOps, and Technical Services Director at Predictive Systems. Sean holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University and an MS in Engineering Management from The Catholic University of America, supplemented by leadership training programs.
