Wayne Murphy

Wayne Murphy is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at AppCheck Ltd since August 2025. Wayne also contributes as a Primary School Parent Governor at a local primary school since February 2020. Previously, Wayne held significant roles at Claranet from October 2015 to August 2025, culminating as Governance, Risk and Compliance Senior Manager, where responsibilities included leading GRC teams and enhancing the organization’s strategic goals. Earlier experience includes positions as Principal Security Consultant at Sec-1, Security Auditor at Ambersail Ltd, and various technical roles at SEC-1 LIMITED and Bolton Council. Wayne holds an MBA from The University of Bolton and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Teesside University.
