Tim Porter

Tim Porter has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tim began their career in the U.S. Army, serving as a Platoon Sergeant-Sergeant First Class from 1989 to 1998. After leaving the military, Tim worked as a Helpdesk/Desktop Manager at the San Antonio Express-News from 2000 to 2009. Following this, they joined the University of the Incarnate Word as an Instructor, teaching technology and contributing to the development of their Information Systems program from 2009 to 2017. Since 2010, Tim has been serving as the President & CEO of Appddiction Studio, a company specializing in developing custom apps for Apple and Android platforms. In this role, they help businesses leverage mobile technology to succeed in the modern business environment.

Tim Porter earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2005. Tim continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree between 2005 and 2007. Additionally, Tim has obtained several certifications, including being a VertiMax Certified Trainer from VertiMax, a Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) from the KM Institute (KMI), an SAFe® Fellow from Scaled Agile, Inc., an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and a Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org. Tim has also earned various SAFe® certifications from Scaled Agile, Inc., including being a Certified SAFe® 4 Lean Portfolio Manager, SAFe® 4 Government Practitioner, SAFe® 4 Certified Program Consultant, SAFe® 4 Certified Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe® 4 Certified Agilist, and SAFe® 4 Certified Product Owner/Product Manager. Tim has further expanded their certification portfolio with SAFe® 6 credentials, including being a Certified SAFe® 6 Advanced Scrum Master, Certified SAFe® 6 Agile Product Manager, Certified SAFe® 6 Agilist, Certified SAFe® 6 Architect, Certified SAFe® 6 DevOps Practitioner, Certified SAFe® 6 Lean Portfolio Manager, Certified SAFe® 6 Practice Consultant, Certified SAFe® 6 Practice Consultant-T, and Certified SAFe® 6 Practitioner.
