Mohamed Ismail

Mohamed Ismail is a seasoned Senior Research & Development Engineer specializing in FPGA development at Appear since August 2020, with previous roles in the company including Research & Development Engineer II and Research & Development Engineer. Prior to this, Mohamed contributed as a Master Student at NTNU SmallSat Lab - HYPSO, focusing on satellite hyperspectral image classification using FPGA, VHDL, MATLAB, and Python. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research And Teaching Assistant at The American University in Cairo, where lab equipment maintenance and student support in computer vision and machine learning were primary responsibilities, a Machine Learning Research Internship at Valeo developing deep learning models for image classification, and a Full Stack Developer role at QIQ Qcentris Intelligent Quality GmbH, where an automated software testing tool was created. Educational credentials include a Master in Embedded Computing Systems from NTNU, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Mathematics from The American University in Cairo.
