Carl Middlehurst

Carl Middlehurst is an experienced legal professional with a diverse background in corporate law and governance. Currently serving as SVP and General Counsel at Appen since February 2019, Carl has previously held significant positions including VP and General Counsel at the same company. Previous roles include Company Secretary at AiiA and General Counsel & Company Secretary at Capital Markets CRC Limited. Additionally, Carl has contributed to organizations such as The Heart Research Institute, NICTA Inc., Goanna Software, Saluda Medical, Ambiata, and Yuruware in various director and advisory capacities. Carl holds an LLB in law and a BSc(hons) in biochemistry from the University of Sydney.
