Jon Smebye

Jon Smebye has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jon is currently working as a Platform Engineer at Appfarm since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Infrastructure Engineer at Sopra Steria from 2021 to 2022. Before that, Jon was the Co-Founder and CTO of Nerthus Technologies from 2018 to 2021.

In terms of their academic background, Jon has worked as a Student Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU) from 2020 to 2021. Prior to pursuing their Master's degree, Jon completed a one-year program in Spanish, known as "Årsstuidum," at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2014-2015.

In 2021, they achieved the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, AZ-304 Microsoft Azure Architect Design, AZ-303 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate. In the same year, they also acquired a Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification. In 2022, Jon obtained certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge v.4 from the Cloud Security Alliance, KCNA: Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate from The Linux Foundation, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals from Microsoft. Jon further obtained the CompTIA Security+ Certification, CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, and Terraform Associate certifications in 2021. Lastly, in 2023, Jon obtained the Associate Cloud Engineer certification from Google Cloud.
