Alex Viale has a strong background in product management and user experience. They are currently the Director of Product Management - Workflow & Automation at Appfire, where they oversee product management. Prior to this, they worked at The Predictive Index as the Director of Product Management, Product Led Growth, where they led the transformation of product lines towards increased conversion rates. They also served as a Senior Product Manager at Applause, where they played a key role in developing and launching new products. Before that, Alex worked at Carbonite as a Senior User Experience Researcher & Mobile Product Manager, conducting research and providing recommendations for product improvements. They also had experience at The MathWorks as a Senior User Experience Specialist and at Foster-Miller, Inc. as a Human Factors Engineer, where they worked on various safety research projects for the transportation industry. Alex Viale received a Master of Science degree in Cognitive Science/Human Factors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1999 to 2003. In 2007, they completed targeted coursework in Information Design at Bentley University. They have also obtained various certifications, including Product Led Growth from ProductLed in 2021, Certified Talent Optimization Leader from TalentOptimization.org by The Predictive Index in 2019, and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Boston Product Management Association (BPMA) in 2014.
