Gorka Puente

Gorka Puente, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. Gorka is currently working as a Principal Product Manager at Appfire and as a Co-Founder at The Ronin Ventures. In 2020, they co-founded RoninPixels, a product company that was later acquired by Appfire. Gorka also has experience as a Manager & Co-founder at Taima Team and as a Product Manager & Co-founder at Manfred. Prior to this, they held roles at Comalatech as a Group Product Manager and Product Manager. Gorka founded Keinoby, a research-focused company, which was acquired by Comalatech. Gorka also has a Ph.D. in Web Information Systems from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, where their research focused on model-driven engineering, Web 2.0, and knowledge management. Gorka has also had a research visit at Aalborg University.

Gorka Puente, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Computer Science from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in 2006. Gorka then pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Software Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 2012. In addition to their academic qualifications, Gorka has obtained various certifications focused on product management and software development, including Certified Product Manager (CPM) from AIPMM The Association of International Product Marketing and Management in 2022, Optimal Product Management and Product Marketing from 280 Group in 2021, and Software Product Management Specialization from Coursera in 2018, among others.
