Mark Kleinsmith

Mark Kleinsmith currently serves as the Director of Technical Writing at Appfire, leading a global team of 20 technical writers in support of enterprise collaboration solutions since July 2023. Previously, as the Director of Technical Communications at MiTek from October 2011 to September 2023, Mark developed and implemented a technical communications strategy to educate a user base of over 5,000 individuals, while also fostering a culture of innovation within a diverse remote team. Mark held various roles at MiTek, including Technical Communications Manager, where oversight of a team ensured effective knowledge dissemination, and Software Product Manager, focusing on the creation of training materials for software features. Mark's earlier career includes positions at iLevel by Weyerhaeuser, OptiFrame Software, Resort Data Processing, and Spectrum Human Resource Systems. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Colorado State University in 1992.
