Kyle Gaertner

Kyle Gaertner is a Senior Penetration Tester at AppFolio, where they have been enhancing security measures since 2025. Previously, they held the position of Manager and Lead Penetration Tester at Fortra from 2021 to 2025, leading a team through complex security operations and fostering team skills via innovative training environments. Before that, they served as a Senior Systems Engineer for the City of Schertz from 2013 to 2016. Kyle's journey in technology began with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology-Security and a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.
