Whitney Barkman

Whitney Barkman is a seasoned professional in user experience design, currently serving as the Lead, User Experience Design at AppFolio, Inc. since April 2019, where Whitney has progressed through various design roles. In addition to her ongoing work at AppFolio, Whitney Barkman Creative has been operated since December 2013, offering user experience design services. Whitney Barkman also owns Whitney Elizabeth Photography, established in January 2006. Previous experience includes roles as Communications Manager and Consultant at the Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity at the University of Connecticut from February 2015 to December 2021, and as a Marketing Communications Consultant for Vacation Rentals of Santa Barbara and Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Connecticut. Whitney Barkman holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Science in Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University.
