Vamshi Basupalli

Full Stack Architect at Appify

Vamshi Basupalli has worked in various roles since 2005. Vamshi began their career as a Software Engineer at MindTree Ltd., where they worked on the development of Vehicle on-board Diagnostics Hand Held Scanner and an in-vehicle network sniffer application. Vamshi then moved on to Colorado State University in 2008, where they acted as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2009, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado State University, where they analyzed the North American Animal Disease Spread Model (NAADSM) program for performance bottlenecks and did a coarse grain parallelization of the same program using a chosen cloud computing framework. In 2010, they joined Apolent as a Software Engineer, followed by a Post Masters Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2012. Vamshi then joined IBM in 2018 as a Senior Full Stack Developer/Architect, where they led the development for health and actions applications in MCMP, used aiohttp, Flask-RESTPlus, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch and Kubernetes to develop the RESTful backend micro-services, and collaborated with senior architects to design the micro-services and database schemas. In 2021, they moved to Enable Data as a Principal Software Engineer, where they built the backend for Itilil Health, customized Prior Authorization Check application APIs for a customer’s public portal, and improved the performance of Prior Authorization Check API by over 3 times. Vamshi is currently working at Appify as a Full Stack Architect, a role they have held since 2022.

Vamshi Basupalli's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University from 1999 to 2003, a Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science from C-DAC from 2004 to 2005, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Colorado State University from 2008 to 2011.
