Allen Cheng

Allen Cheng has a diverse work experience. Allen started their career as an Automotive Technician at The Honda Superstore of Lisle in 2011, where they performed oil and filter changes, mounted and balanced tires, and recommended preventative maintenance services. In 2012, they moved on to work as an Automotive Technician at Lexus Of Orland, testing vehicles and their components, adjusting repaired systems, and conducting routine maintenance services. In 2013, they joined BMW of Schererville as an Automotive Technician, where they tested vehicles and their components, adjusted repaired systems, and conducted routine maintenance services. In 2018, they transitioned their career into the tech industry by completing a Full Stack Web Developer Apprenticeship at Actualize Coding Bootcamp & Apprenticeship, where they worked on a team to implement features to the company's CRM and personally built an app called "Where's The Deal." Finally, in 2018, they became a Salesforce Developer at Appiphony.

Allen Cheng attended Universal Technical Institute, Inc. from 2011 to 2012, where they earned a Certificate in Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician. Allen then enrolled at Indiana University Northwest from 2015 to 2016 to pursue a degree in Computer Science. In 2017, Allen attended Codecademy and freeCodeCamp for short periods of time to further develop their skills in Computer Software Engineering. Finally, in 2017, they attended Actualize Coding Bootcamp to specialize in Web Development.
