Catalin Floroiu

Catalin Floroiu has over 25 years of experience in engineering and technical management, currently serving as the Team Lead for Verification and Validation at Applanix Corporation, a Trimble Company, since June 1997. In this role, Catalin leads cross-functional and multicultural engineering teams, manages test projects for GPS/inertial systems, and develops comprehensive test plans and strategies. Prior experience includes positions as a Project Engineer for Airborne Systems and Field Application Systems Engineer, focusing on GPS/inertial systems development and customer support. Catalin began a career at Tarom Airlines as a Flight Operations Quality Assurance Engineer, where responsibilities included flight data analysis and air accident investigation. Catalin holds a Master of Science in Avionics from "Politehnica" University of Bucharest and a Certificate in Business Administration from Seneca Polytechnic.
