Nick Smart

Nick Smart has extensive experience in hydrographic surveying and technical sales within the marine industry. Currently serving as a Technical Sales Support Engineer at Applanix Corporation since July 2020, Nick provides support to marine resellers and customers. Prior roles include Technical Sales Consultant at Survey Solutions Scotland, where assistance was provided for Trimble Marine and Aerial products, and Offshore Hydrographic Surveyor at iSURVEY, focusing on project support and various surveying tasks. Additional experience includes working as a Hydrographic Surveyor at Swathe Services and the British Geological Survey, where responsibilities included vessel management, data acquisition, and quality control. Nick holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Hydrography from the University of Plymouth.
