Aidan Brooks

Camera Engineer

Aidan Brooks is a dedicated camera engineer currently working at Apple, following an extensive tenure at Caltech's LIGO Laboratory from 2009 to 2020. Aidan played a significant role in the team that achieved the first detection of gravitational waves in 2015, which led to a Nobel Prize in Physics in 2017. Their experience includes serving as a Senior Staff Scientist focusing on cryogenic gravitational wave detector design and as an Adaptive Optics Scientist responsible for wavefront sensing in LIGO interferometers.
