Alan Dunn

Alan Dunn is a Kernel Engineer at Apple, where they have worked since 2016. Prior to this role, they held positions as a Software Engineer at Google and a Software Engineering Intern at Facebook. Alan also completed a research internship at Microsoft Research, focusing on security and privacy. They earned a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Master’s in Physics from Duke University. Alan's research has centered on enhancing the security of modern computing through advanced technologies such as cryptography and virtualization.
