Alex da Veiga is currently the Director of Engineering at Apple, a role they have held since 2017, where they are involved with Apple Vision Pro. Prior to this, Alex was a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft from 2013 to 2017, contributing to the HoloLens Experiences team and leading projects such as Destination Mars and OnSight in collaboration with NASA. They began their career at Microsoft as a Senior Software Development Engineer focused on graphics, later working as a Software Design Engineer on the Visual C++ Compiler team. Alex earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná between 1997 and 2000.
