Alex Newman is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in product design and development. At SharkNinja from January 2016 to September 2017, Alex contributed to R&D teams focused on consumer-centric product design and collaborated with factories on component development. Prior experience includes a mechanical engineering co-op at DCI Engineering Services, where Alex helped develop a mobile sewage waste pumping system, and a role at Shark where testing and prototyping led to the creation of DuoClean technology. Currently, Alex serves as Lead Product Design Engineer at Apple while also carrying out engineering contracting work, including projects related to infant devices at Northeastern University's Speech and Neurodevelopment Lab. Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
