Alex Thebez is an experienced professional in the fields of photography, visual storytelling, and community engagement. Currently serving as an Aesthetics Scientist for Camera & Photos at Apple since November 2022, Alex collaborates with senior software engineers to advance camera technologies. As co-founder and editor of TAGTAGTAG since 2012, Alex also engages with educational initiatives as an adjunct lecturer at Parsons School of Design, teaching Professional Practices I. Prior roles include leadership positions at Instagram, where Alex developed strategies for consumer marketing and community engagement, and significant contributions to Airbnb and TIME in production and editing capacities. Alex holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Parsons School of Design and has furthered education at Vancouver Film School.
