Amit Vyas

Amit Vyas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software engineering and research. Since April 2010, Amit has served as the Director of Software Engineering at Apple, leading the OS Power team to improve battery life and thermal performance across all Apple products while enhancing user experiences. Prior to this role, Amit worked as a researcher at Stanford and Orange-France Telecom R&D from January 2004 to January 2009, focusing on the design and deployment of wireless mesh networks. Amit also gained valuable insights during internship experiences at Intel Research, Microsoft Research, and Hewlett-Packard Labs. Amit holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
