Asad Anwar Butt

Asad Anwar Butt is a Senior Research Scientist at Apple, specializing in AI and Machine Learning with a focus on computer vision and generative AI. With over ten years of experience leading applied research projects, Asad's work involves designing large-scale benchmark datasets and developing evaluation frameworks for complex AI systems. Previously, Asad held positions as an Associate Research Scientist at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering and an Assistant Professor at the NUST School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. They also served as a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Asad holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University and has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Boise State University.
