Austin Han

Austin Han is a seasoned machine learning expert with significant experience spanning multiple reputable companies. Currently serving as a Machine Learning Researcher at Apple since December 2020, Austin specializes in recommendation and commerce systems. Prior to this role, Austin co-founded Witti Inc, creating a community retail content platform that supports over 160 retailers. Experience at Google as a Research Software Engineer involved work on image and text embeddings, while a tenure at Sensibill as a Machine Learning Technical Lead included leading a team in developing a scalable TensorFlow receipt data extraction engine, among other accomplishments. Earlier positions included software engineering internships at RBC and a founding role at The First Aid Network, a non-profit focused on affordable first aid education. Austin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning from the University of Toronto.
