Barada Acharya

Barada Acharya is an experienced machine learning and software engineer with a strong background in natural language processing and deep learning. At Apple, Barada served as a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer, leading the design of a text-editing feature in Apple Intelligence Writing Tools and implementing initial Transformer and BERT models on macOS/iOS. Prior to this, Barada interned at Amazon, where contributions included developing a new objective function for content optimization and creating a supervised classifier for brand classification. Earlier experience at Samsung Electronics involved multi-device support implementation for a Memory Solution Tool Kit and designing an NVMe-compatible core library. Barada's academic pursuits at UC Irvine included research on knowledge extraction from unstructured data and Bayesian deep learning.
