Cheng Qian is an economist and core data scientist at Apple since October 2021, having previously served as the Head Teaching Assistant for the undergraduate course "Principles of Microeconomics" at the University of Missouri-Columbia from August 2019 to December 2019. Cheng also held research assistant positions at the same university, contributing to projects that involved constructing datasets to forecast high school graduation and college attendance outcomes as well as analyzing test score growth during the pandemic-induced gap year in testing. Cheng earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 2016 and 2021.
