Daniel Estrada is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in materials research and development. Beginning as a Materials Research Intern at UC Santa Barbara, Daniel contributed to the initial research for the deposition of epitaxial ZnO on GaN, leading to the commercialization of Solution Deposition Systems. At Lumileds, as a Development Engineer, Daniel focused on next-generation LED lighting materials, while at Solution Deposition Systems, optimization of the ZnO deposition process was achieved, resulting in a more environmentally friendly method. Daniel further honed expertise as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC San Diego, enhancing lithium-ion battery anode materials, which yielded significant capacity improvements. Currently serving as a Reliability Engineer at Apple, Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from UC San Diego.
