Dejuante Walker

Battery Algorithm and Modeling Engineer

Dejuante Walker, Ph.D. is currently a PhD student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with an expected graduation date in 2025. Walker has developed molecular dynamics simulations to study charge transport and polymer dynamics in polymer flow battery electrolytes under the supervision of Dr. Charles Sing. Prior research experience includes synthesizing copolymer films at Texas A&M University to enhance the conductivity and thermal stability of solid polymer electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries, and formulating sodium-ion electrolytes at California State University-Long Beach. In addition to academic research, Walker has interned at Apple, utilizing various modeling techniques to analyze battery designs, and worked on the fabrication process for polymeric thin-film panels aimed at improving display technologies.
